A 54-year-old man who was bitten by a snake has been rushed to hospital after fainting and hitting his head in Queensland's north this afternoon.
The man was trying to get a snake out of his Proserpine home pool when he was bitten on his foot.
He then went inside but fainted, suffering a head injury.
The man was flown by the RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter in a stable condition, arriving at Mackay Base Hospital at 2.15pm.
He will undergo treatment and will be monitored through the day.
It has not been confirmed what type of snake bit the man.
